When I initially arrived at my unit I had x2 resident green frogs living in my toilet!! Their croaking was an otherworldly sound coming from inside the rim.

Derby this time round has been all about it being the wet season (supposedly). It's been anything but. The 'wet' as locals know it...is yet to come.

Finishing up my contract beginning of September, and overnighting in Broome before flying out next day...I booked a sunset camel ride (I know this wouldn't be for everyone). Honestly, it was wonderful.

Apologies!! Haven't posted for a while. Time has got away on me!! And here I am back in Derby again...but this time for the wet season.

Alternate Tuesdays I head off to a little indigenous community called Looma. Takes an hour and a half to get there from Derby...two thirds sealed road and one third dirt. It is a private community where only services are allowed in.

Hired a 4WD to go and explore for the day with a colleague Dawn from Victoria.
